Quality Engineer

Location: Grapevine, TX (initial), transferring to Fort Worth, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Work Environment: 100% Onsite

Salary: 50K

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our client in the Fort Worth area. This is a full-time, onsite, direct-hire opportunity starting at the Grapevine facility before relocating to the client's Fort Worth location. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about supporting and improving quality processes.


Position Overview

The Quality Engineer supports and enhances the company's Quality Management System (QMS) through data analysis, process improvement, documentation, and cross-functional coordination. This role ensures that products meet all internal standards and external requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

Quality System & Documentation

  • Support maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Assist Quality Manager and Supervisor in implementing quality procedures and standards.
  • Create and maintain quality documents (manuals, procedures, work instructions, forms).
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to ensure smooth transfer of new products into production.
  • Support Quality Inspectors to ensure product and process compliance.

Quality Assurance & Improvement

  • Analyze failures and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external issues.
  • Improve receiving inspection processes and documentation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen.
  • Resolve supplier nonconformances and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing quality control activities.

Auditing & Supplier Management

  • Conduct internal and supplier audits; generate reports and close out findings.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance and corrective actions.

Training & Development

  • Develop and deliver training to enhance quality awareness throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • ISO Auditor certification required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate level).
  • Understanding of computer functionality and technical sub-assemblies.
  • English proficiency.
  • Must demonstrate strong alignment with role requirements and successful performance in similar positions.
